“We’ve heard from consumers who experienced canceled appointments, incomplete procedures, and frustrating hurdles when trying to secure refunds,” McGovern shared. “Many have turned to the BBB seeking resolution.” These issues aren’t isolated; complaints have trickled in from states as diverse as Alabama, California, Kentucky, and beyond.
“Some complaints involve thousands of dollars,” McGovern noted. “Since many procedures are out-of-pocket, it’s no surprise that financial stakes are high.”
When approached for comment, a representative from Goals defended their practices, stating that their terms include clear refund policies but acknowledged that misunderstandings can occasionally delay the process.
“We understand this can lead to frustration, and we’re diligently working to enhance our communication and internal processes,” they added, emphasizing their commitment to patient satisfaction.
Due to the ongoing issues, the BBB has slapped Goals with an “F” rating, highlighting a pattern of unaddressed complaints. “It’s the same issues recurring,” McGovern explained. “Despite our efforts to engage with the company, responses have been lacking.”
In an email after this story broke, a Goals spokesperson insisted they do respond but cited privacy laws as a barrier to discussing specific patient matters with the BBB.
