Nikki Glaser, the vibrant and hilarious comedian, has decided to hit pause on her plans for “really invasive” plastic surgery after receiving an exciting opportunity. She’s set to host the upcoming Golden Globe Awards on January 5!

This 40-year-old dynamo quickly shelved her cosmetic procedure ambitions to take center stage at the 82nd annual ceremony celebrating the best in television and film. In a candid chat on CBS Mornings on December 29, Glaser revealed, “So, for January 2025, I was considering a brow lift or some major surgery that I was looking into.”

However, when her agents called with the fantastic news about her hosting gig, they asked, “So, about that surgery, could you possibly postpone it until the second week of January?” She realized she couldn’t miss out on the Golden Globes if it meant delaying her procedures—and that’s exactly what she did.

Back in August, Glaser expressed her excitement about hosting the Golden Globes, saying, “I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes. It’s one of my favorite nights of television, and now I get a front-row seat (though I think I’ll be on stage)!”

Last year, comedian Jo Koy took the stage with a performance that sparked controversy and a few awkward laughs. Koy opened the night with a quip about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce that didn’t quite land. “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift… there’s just more to go to here,” he joked, eliciting a less-than-pleased reaction from the pop superstar in the audience.

In a follow-up appearance on GMA3, Koy expressed regret over his comments, admitting, “The Taylor joke was a bit flat… It was a weird joke, I guess. I meant it as a jab at the NFL, but it didn’t come out that way.”

He went on to share, “Hosting is a tough gig. Yes, I’m a stand-up comic, but hosting requires a different style.”

Mark your calendars! The 2025 Golden Globe Awards will stream live on Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, Sling, and Direct TV Stream, kicking off at 8 p.m. EST from the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
