Your support truly makes a difference!Nikki Glaser has put her plans for “really invasive” plastic surgery on hold after receiving an exciting offer to host the upcoming Golden Globe Awards on January 5.
This 40-year-old comedian was all set for a brow lift when her agents called with the news about the prestigious hosting gig. They asked, “So, is there any way you could push your surgery to the second week of January?” Glaser knew right away that she couldn’t pass up this opportunity without rescheduling her procedure.
Thrilled about the chance to host the 82nd annual ceremony, she expressed, “I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes. It’s one of my favorite nights of television and now I get a front-row seat (well, technically, I have to host from the stage)!”
Last year’s ceremony saw comedian and actor Jo Koy take the stage, delivering a performance that sparked quite a few controversial reactions. He opened with a jab about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, saying, “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift… there’s just more to go to here.”
Swift’s reaction was immediate, leading Koy to express regret the following morning on GMA3. “The Taylor [Swift] one fell flat… I was trying to poke fun at the NFL, but it didn’t come out that way,” he reflected. “Hosting is a tough gig, and I fell short.”
