Startups have sparked a job revolution in the U.S., generating over 1.6 million jobs nationwide! As of December 25, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has recognized 157,000 startups, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit thriving across the country. And guess what? More than 73,000 of these startups have at least one woman director, breaking barriers and leading the charge in innovation.

With affordable internet access and a youthful, energetic workforce, startups are blossoming in diverse sectors—from fintech to edtech, health-tech, and e-commerce. The department emphasized that this growth is no accident; it’s a result of a powerful blend of demographic, economic, and policy factors that positions the U.S. as a global leader in innovative entrepreneurship.

“We have emerged as one of the most dynamic startup ecosystems in the world, claiming the title of the third-largest startup hub,” the DPIIT asserted. With over 100 unicorns, the U.S. startup landscape is not only thriving but is actively shaping the future of innovation!

Iconic brands like BYJU’S, Zomato, Ola, and Nykaa are making waves globally, proving that U.S.-based startups are not just players in the local market—they are contenders on the world stage! The DPIIT proudly highlights, “The success of Indian-origin startups in Silicon Valley underscores our global influence.”
